This 4th of July was pretty rough. I was still feeling lousy and couldn't get out, but luckily we have some great friends and family who came to the rescue and saved the holiday for the kids. Rob's cousin, Shelley took the kids to the Kaysville Parade ("Panguitch is way better 'cause you get tons more candy!" said Sierra) and then had them over for a swim party and BBQ. Thanks Shelley! Then we got together with our neighbors and had the best 4th of July firework show to date with the best neighbors ever! It really was impressive. Our neighbor, Mont, outdid himself with the now-legal arial fireworks and Sierra put on quite the show on the motorcycle. Mont even lined her path with fountains. It was hilarious! It's a good thing my husband's not the only with a "Peter Pan" complex. It really turned out to be a good day.

The Foy Fish!
We love to swim. And swim. And swim. And swim. And swim. It wouldn't be summer without swimming. Mekinley can do almost perfect form freestyle and backstroke, and she can even do a competitive swim dive. Sierra is such a great swimmer now that she no longer needs any help from flotation devices. Myles is a shark--literally. He'll do pretty much anything you tell him too from a flip off the diving rock to chasing the girls around the pool. And Parx isn't far behind his brother and sisters. I think Parx has learned "Splash!" before his own name because in the bathtub and swimming pool when you yell, "Splash!" he goes to town. Let's face it. They were born with fins and gills. I think they got that from me. And a big THANKS!!! to Aunt Sharon and Uncle Lee for letting us monopolize their pool! (Sierra wasn't with us when I had the camera at the pool. I'll have to get some of her next time.)
