Parx was finally blessed yesterday. Yea!! Rob was embarrassed because instead of holding up a newborn baby for the congregation to see, he held up such a big boy! It was a very special day and as always Rob did an amazing job. And his name his official...Parx Joseph. We are so lucky to have such great family and friends.

My Favorite Time of Day
My favorite time of day is first thing in the morning when Parx first wakes up. He gets up for his early morning feeding between 5 and 6. Some days after he eats he never goes back to sleep. It's rough on my sleep, but if I'm lucky, we're not discovered by his sisters and brother for a little while and I get him all to myself. We snuggle and play and his eyes are so bright and his smile is so big. It absolutely makes my day. I don't even seem to mind the lack of sleep.
Days where I can get him to go back to sleep are nice too. I fall asleep feeding him and we're woken up by at least one child climbing onto to bed, getting really close to our faces and saying really loud, "Are you awake?" We are now! Before long all three are on my bed, on weekends we are joined by Dad, and we all enjoy Parx's happy time together. It's one of those precious times when the overwhelming work of four children gets swallowed up in a perfect moment.
Sisterly Love
My girls have a love/hate relationship. One minute they're kicking and screaming at each other, pulling hair, Mekinley's putting Sierra in a "full Nelson", Sierra's licking Mekinley (I know, gross!), but a second later they are absolutely best friends and can't live without each other. I guess that's what you call "sisters." It's especially fun to listen to them when they're in their beds at night when they don't know we're listening. They have the funniest conversations from Mekinley quizzing Sierra on her addition to solving the world's problems. And every night after they've fallen asleep snuggling Rob has to sneak into their bedroom and move Sierra back to her bed.

At school Mekinley wrote in a journal. I LOVE reading it.
And it's nice because she's still at an age where she lets me :-)

Mekinley is quite the note giver.
I can't wait for her children to read them some day.
